I consider it a successful weekend when I can walk away with my Sunday newspapers for less than full price! On another note, even if you don't coupon, I recommend you stop in at a Kroger and check out their makeup section. There are lots of goodies on clearance. All of the makeup I bought normally costs between $8-$10 each, but all were on clearance for less than $2.10 each. If you have coupons it makes it an even better deal! I stocked up on makeup for less than $10 and that's a great deal in my book!! I was a little disappointed at myself because Kroger also had select varieties of Kettle Chips on closeout this week for $1.39. With the $1/1 coupon (6/19 RP) they would have cost only $0.39, but the shelves were cleared by the time I got there this weekend. Oh well!!

It was a GREAT week at CVS, so I issued a challenge for myself. I wanted to see if I could go into CVS with just a $20 bill and walk out with lots of great stuff!! I was really, really close to being successful. I ended up spending $20.18 at CVS for the bulk of the items listed above (all that I got at Walgreens were the 3 Gatorade drinks, tomato sauce, and eggs). I split my purchases into 6 transactions and just rolled my ECBs that I earned into each subsequent transaction (which explains why I ended up with $0 in ECBs). By doing it this way, I was able to seriously reduce my OOP expenses. Walgreens had a sad little ad today, so I just used my RRs from last week to pick up a few good deals. Overall, it was another great week!!!

We have been traveling the last two weekends so I barely got this trip in! It was good that I did because all of my register rewards would have expired yesterday, which means I would have been throwing money in the trash can. There were a few things we needed in our house, so I added those in to the shopping trip even though they weren't on sale. I was also able to grab two newspapers with coupons that were free since I used my ECBs to pay for them! Those usually cost me $5, so I was very excited about that!! I think Kroger has another mini Mega Event starting up on Wednesday, so hopefully I'll be back with those deals later this week!!
